GTS was established in 2001 to train the local
workforce and create healthy employment opportunities for the growing community
within the expanding economy of the GCC. The GTS mandate is to facilitate and
accelerate the process of localization of the workforce through streamlined
‘Training for Employment’ programs in all sectors of the economy. For this
purpose, GTS works in conjunction with other training providers and
institutions, to cover a broad spectrum of training activities and provide a
blend of expertise, technology, infrastructure and academic resources to
candidates with the potential to succeed in a competitive and targeted work
environment. The group’s wide range of businesses and GTS affiliation with BIHM
ensured that it had access to a range of specialized training solutions which
laid the foundations for the development of a comprehensive, yet targeted
organization that was dedicated to the training and acclimatization of a highly
skilled Bahraini workforce.
